For as long as I can remember, travel has been my calling. Growing up, I would spend hours poring over maps, researching different countries, and dreaming of one day exploring the world. I excelled in geography, memorized country maps, and even set an ambitious goal to visit all 192 countries. While I haven’t made it to all of them yet, I have traveled across nearly every continent, with only Australia and Antarctica still on my list! That early passion for travel stayed with me, even if it sometimes felt like a distant dream. But now, that dream has become my life’s mission.
After years of exploring, I’m thrilled to channel my love for travel into a new venture: Summerhill Travel, built to bring European adventures to life. Here’s a bit about my journey and why I’m excited to help you create unforgettable European experiences.
My Journey Across Europe
My connection to Europe is both personal and profound. What started as family visits to Portugal quickly turned into a lifelong love affair with the continent. At 15, I embarked on my first solo adventure—a school trip that took me to five European countries: France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Denmark. That trip ignited a deep-seated need to explore Europe that has only grown stronger over time.
Since then, I’ve returned again and again, each time falling more in love with Europe’s unique blend of history, culture, and beauty. I studied French intensively in Tours, France, at 18 and later moved to Paris at 19 to further immerse myself in the language and culture. After completing my degree at the University of Toronto, I relocated to London to study UK Law. In between these milestones, I took every opportunity to travel extensively through Europe, revisiting my favorite destinations like Portugal, France, and Spain, while also discovering new corners of the continent.
Europe has always felt like home to me, and that’s why I’ve chosen to make it the focus of my travel business. My experience living, studying, and exploring across Europe has equipped me with a deep understanding of what makes each destination unique, and I can’t wait to share that knowledge with you.
